Bio Pflümli Einfach Schnaps
For more than 100 years, Humbel has distilled the flavours of Swiss orchards into expressive, honest spirits. From Max Humbel’s first farm still in 1918 to today’s organically certified, orchard-to-glass production, the family continues to preserve traditional fruit varieties and long-lived Hochstamm trees.
Bio Pflümli carries this heritage into Humbel’s modern Einfach Schnaps line: a pure, aromatic plum spirit crafted for today’s bars, restaurants, and curious drinkers.

Origin & Production
Each bottle of Bio Pflümli contains the essence of ~4.5 kg plums from the orchards of north-west Switzerland. These aren’t just any plums — they come from the diverse Prunus domestica family, including early-ripening varieties such as Bühler, Löhrpflaume, Mirabelle, and others. These varieties naturally produce the spirit’s signature bitter-almond aroma.
All fruit is grown on Hochstamm trees, the old, tall orchard giants that have shaped Switzerland’s agricultural landscape for centuries. Their size, root depth, and slow growth help produce fruit with deeper flavour concentration. Choosing Hochstamm fruit also supports biodiversity, local climate protection, and the preservation of these culturally important trees.
Every bottle purchased directly contributes to the survival of Switzerland’s historic orchard landscape — a cause at the heart of Humbel’s identity.
