To us is no longer a surprise as we continually witness how the biggest players of the market start to creep into the Agave spirits category (specifically with mezcal).
But we are here to share with you some sick drinks you can make with this two chili liquors.

ANCHO PROBLEM
- 1 ounce Ancho Reyes chile liqueur
- 1 ounce blanco tequila
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce Demerara syrup
DIRECTIONS
Shake all ingredients with ice.
Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
GETAWAY CAR
- 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce rum, preferably Appleton Reserve
- 1 ounce Ancho Reyes
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
Garnish: lime wheel and a sprinkle of ancho powder
DIRECTIONS
Fill a shaker tin half-full with pebble ice.Add all ingredients and shake.
Fill a Zombie mug half-full with pebble ice.
Strain into the mug, and garnish with a lime wheel and a sprinkle of ancho powder.
OLD FASHIONED
1 part Ancho Reyes Original
1 part Russell’s Reserve 10 year old bourbon
¼ part Rich Simple Syrup
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.
Stir to chill and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.Garnish with an orange twist.
SPICY VERDE MARGARITA
1 part Ancho Reyes Verde
1 part Tequila Blanco 100% Agave
¾ part Fresh Lime Juice
½ part Light Agave Nectar
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake well.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice with a salted rim.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
GIMLET
1 part Ancho Reyes Verde
1 part Bulldog Gin
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
½ part Rich Simple Syrup
1 Cucumber Slice
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake hard to chill and dilute. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass and garnish with a thinly sliced cucumber wheel.
