La Venenosa Azul unique batch
The last overproduction of Agave tequilana weber took place at the end of the 20th century. Planting was way ahead of growth and in 1999 and 2000 fields were full of beautiful ripe Agave. A silly price of half a peso per kilo was not worth the effort and cost of harvesting that agave, that is if you could find a buyer!!
In the sierra Occidental of Jalisco, Raicilla country, several farmers of agave tequilana weber were supplying tequila to the locals.
Maestro Raicillero don Guelo had a campesino friend that offered him his Tequilana, all he had to do was to harvest it before it was to late. He had a bunch of Blue weber that he could handle at his little taberna and made around 5,000 liters of single distilled Raicilla from that Agave Tequilana weber azul.
In this region Maximiliana is the king and sales of his raicilla azul were slow which is the reason La Venenosa has the good fortune to offer this 20 year old glass rested Raicilla.
We have a extremely limited supply of this expression. I would not wait much if you really want your hands on this once in a life time release.
